Ribbon tab item group text size

Increasing Ribbon tab item group text size overlaps it on other Ribbon tab item group

Is it possible to minimize the ribbon bar?

Is there a way to minimize the ribbon as in word so you only see the tab captions

Large Button Text - Descenders Clipped Below Base Line

For large buttons where the text includes a descender (e.g. f, g, j, p, q, y) the hanging part of the letter is clipped.
